For organisations having an ISO Standard Registration, Internal Audit is a mandatory requirement. Frequently viewed by management as a necessary evil, bringing no benefit from the expenditure, such an audit becomes a cost of doing business and an unnecessary distraction from the daily round. Our outsourced audit service will change that perception, and start the process towards a beneficial experience. In each audit, through the medium of local manager sponsorship, we work to demonstrate that internal audit can be source of management information - and hence benefit - to the work processes of the organization.

Training and Mentoring for Internal Audit Teams
Migrating an existing audit team from basic 'compliance' auditing takes time and effort, requiring the involvement of the management team who may previously have appeared somewhat detached from the audit process. It is however possible, and where there is a large active audit team in place, this may be a viable option. Do not underestimate the difficulty of such a change, as the task is not so much technical as social, this transition being primarily one of attitudes and perceptions that have been formed sometimes over many years of direct audit activity. Training a new audit team is a different matter, and may be an acceptable alternative to the outsourcing route when looked at as a long term venture. With either option the staff audit team will still lack the wider experience possessed by our IRCA accredited Lead Auditors.
